1. Would you like to host and teach English to junior students, aged 14-17, in the summer?

2. Do you live in or near Cambridge, Oxford, Godalming or Brighton?

If you answered yes to both of these questions, Bucksmore Summer Focus could be for you. We are currently recruiting for this programme, which combines the best of home tuition and junior summer schools.

home tuition + summer school = Bucksmore Summer Focus

What you would offer:

  • up to four weeks of full-board accommodation for one or two junior students (weeks run Tuesday to Tuesday) during July
  • 15 or 20 hours of tuition a week
  • 2 afternoon excursions / activities
  • taking the student to and from the summer centre for…
    • 1 afternoon excursion / activity
    • 2 full day excursions

When the student is at the centre, you are free to do your own thing!

Under normal circumstances when hosting & teaching junior students (under 18), you are in loco parentis, meaning that you are responsible for the junior student for the whole duration of their stay. The Summer Focus programme means the student is off your hands for one afternoon and the two full-day excursions. The pay is the same as a normal 15- or 20-hour junior course: £580 or £670 per week.

Once on board with Bucksmore Homelingua, there are possibilities of hosting and teaching both juniors and adults in the rest of the year too.

We look forward to hearing from you.
