Shakespearean idioms, a lesson from BC

Are you a night owl? Do you know anyone who moves at a snail’s pace? At parties are you good at breaking the ice or do you tend to lie low or even send people packing?

All these idioms were created by Shakespeare and what with it being 400 years since the Bard’s death, what better time than to brush up your knowledge of the English wordsmith with this lesson from the British Council website.

It’s aimed at level B2 and could certainly be adapted. Enjoy!
